The pandemic is placing a special burden on the younger generation - making their entry into the world of work, business, and entrepreneurship even more unpredictable and challenging. And yet the younger generation will be key in building and running the post-pandemic world.
This is why the Global Peter Drucker Challenge essay contest, an annual fixture in the run-up to the Global Peter Drucker Forum and now in its 12th year, chose as this year's topic: "What crisis demands of the manager"
Close to 300 students, young managers, and young entrepreneurs from six continents and from impressively diverse personal backgrounds, professions, and cultures answered the call for essays, with a notable increase of submissions from South America this year.
The jury consisting of Elizabeth Edersheim, Jyoti Guptara, Ricardo Viana Vargas, and Stefan Güldenberg selected the most insightful and original essays.
Read and Meet
You can read these essays on the Drucker Challenge website. And you can meet the TOP 15 authors in person (as far as travel is permitted) at the 2021 Global Peter Drucker Forum in Vienna on November 18-19. They are also invited to actively participating in the Drucker Forum Digital Day (Nov. 17). An evening event on November 18 will be devoted to honoring their work.
We wish to extend our congratulations to all those who made it within the TOP 15, and in particular to the three first- placed authors:
