 Connectivity and a high energy level
A bustling 15th Global Peter Drucker Forum welcomed a full house of 660 participants from 43 nations who exchanged views on "Creative Resilience" over two days at the Hofburg and a pre-conference day with workshops in several spots in Vienna.‘ A vibrant, engaged, international community that thinks and writes and cares across a variety of languages and cultures’, wrote Avivah Wittenberg-Cox afterwards in her blog post (English) about the Forum. Drucker Forum 2023 – making a difference!
Resilience is a muscle to train
'The annual theme was welcome in the current economic, societal and geopolitical context of chaos', reported Les Echos in its (French) online issue. One key was Rita McGrath’s repeated reminder of the need to anticipate big changes and to keep talking in a divided world. Amy Edmondson explained in Vienna why she divides failures into basic failures, complex failures, and intelligent failures. Read her interview (German), which she gave to the NZZ on site.  Richard Straub on the challenge of the next five years
An ambitious commitment to developing the “The Next Management” – echoing Peter Drucker’s “Next Society” – by Richard Straub marked the successful conclusion of the 2023 Drucker Forum. The challenge of moving management to a new level will be the overarching theme of the next five Forums, culminating in the 20th Forum in November 2028. Stay tuned!
