Wanted - a new management worldview
We need to face the facts. The current management, framed by an engineering mindset for a vanished era, has run out of road. We need to recontextualise, equipping it for a very different world by putting back what today too often is left out: the human, with our unique intelligence, creativity, intuition, and ethical judgment. Only thus can we confidently embrace the game-changing opportunities that digital technology, and notably AI and Web 3, bring to the table.
What is a “reframe” of management meant to do?
In turning management into a coherent discipline, Peter Drucker embraced its tensions, insisting on the need for integration and synthesis as much as analysis. Standing on his shoulders, we now need to create a fresh synthesis that enables us to break through today’s performance barriers and unleash a new century of world progress and prosperity.
It starts here: Join the launch session for The Next Managment
To accelerate the transition to management’s next major era, we aim to make the most of our ability to bring together practitioners, thought leaders, and engaged audiences to find common cause and inspire each other’s work.
Starting now, the Vienna Center for Management Innovation invites you to support this vital and urgent work by becoming part of the community that will guide it over the next five years and join us at the digital launch session on March 13. Click through to the registration page and give us your first, top-of-mind response to the questions we pose there.
