"The Next Education: How a New Generation Must Be Equipped to Lead in a Crazy World" - that was the theme of this year's Global Peter Drucker Challenge essay contest, an annual focal event for aspiring young managers, entrepreneurs and students in the run-up to the Global Peter Drucker Forum 2024.
What capacities will be needed in the future to tackle crisis and disruption? And how should the education system change to meet these new challenges? 502 students, young managers and entrepreneurs from 54 countries all over the world - and from impressively diverse personal backgrounds, professions, and cultures - submitted their essays, describing what the “Next Education” might look like. A judging panel consisting of Daniela Iubatti (Assistant Professor of SKEMA Business School, FR), Elizabeth Haas Edersheim (Professor, Business Consultant and Author of “The Definitive Drucker”, US), and Chris Maclay (Program Director, Mercy Corps/Jobtech Alliance, KE, and Drucker Challenge Alumnus) selected and ranked the 10 most outstanding and original essays in the final round of judging.
