After a 32 years international career in IBM that included various executive line and staff positions,
Richard Straub

in 2006 took on the role as director of corporate services and EU

affairs at EFMD, a global network of business schools and corporations,

focusing on the quality of management and talent development. In the

same year he became secretary general of the European Learning Industry

Group (ELIG) and a senior advisor to IBM. In partnership with EFMD and

other institutions he subsequently launched the Peter Drucker Society of

Austria in 2008 and in 2010 the Peter Drucker Society Europe – he is

president of both. As a thought leader at the intersection of business

and academia he is a keynote speaker at international conferences and

member of various boards and Advisory Groups.

Richard is married with Ilse and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
