These are far better examples of Disruptive ideas or Entrepreneurship if you like, in Africa than the indomie business or the Nollywood movies: http://blogs.worldbank.org/africacan/disruptive-innovation-the-most-viable-strategy-for-economic-development-in-africa

I endorse!

But, it remains very orthodox in its approach in order to clearly unearth African entrepreneurship! To really understand the African context, one needs to first see Africa as a continent and not a country! Second, to regard African entrepreneurship on a survival perspective and that it needs to become disruptive to become success and alleviate poverty, it is extremely simplistic and certainly ignores the dynamic entrepreneurial imaginations, logic and culture that make each country and society’s pace of growth! Finally, this current approach used in this blog will never contribute to new theories! We need to ask different questions that will help us understand the African context, and thus contribute to theories! (We shouldn’t been asking same questions we traditionally use in management and organizational theory to understand phenomena!)

Hopefully soon (the graduation to disruptive entrepreneurship).
Otherwise, things could get really worse…..

As someone new in the US I had always wondered how this country managed to reach the prosperous state it is in right now. Maybe innovations like the cotton gin, or does the US have abundant natural resources too?
