Having spent a semester studying at HSG St Gallen I have to say that taking time for coffee and streudel is a must! Preferably in the company of professors from a variety of disciplines. I believe the experiential wisdom you share can be directly correlated to system-theoretic and complexity principles. In no particular order: diversity amplifies variety (Ashby), authenticity is the identity “scaffolding” (Bruner) guiding self-actualization (Goldstein), and I see “eyes wide open” as a good proxy for weak signal detection (Snowden, Taleb).
