I love this statement: “Economics the basis of a good life for all but not its purpose”. I would also use the same replacing the word “economics” for the word “business”, to make the point very clearly to business leaders.

The closing speech Charles gave at the end of the Drucker Forum in Vienna last week was along the lines of this article. It came with the addition of a call to action. And it earned him a long standing ovation.

People like Charles, and indeed Peter Drucker, convince me we need “Philosophy in Management”. That is why I am forming a plans for a two year research based initiatives that will include 10 events in 10 countries, and the publication of 10 books over a 2 year period beginning in 2018. This will be part of my answer to the call to action from Charles. Please let me know if you would like more details. paul@thesmfglobal.com
