Agentur Mehrwert
is a non-profit-agency for Service Learning and is located in Stuttgart. It develops and realizes sustainable learning projects, which bring together the social sector, school system, economy and community sector.
mehrwert organizes learning projects around the issue social skills for pupils, trainees, students, managers and leaders. Since mehrwert was founded in 2000, about 11.000 mainly young people were trained and accompanied in learning projects in different social organizations.
According to the guideline „learning in strange life situations” the participants change their side for one week. They work and live together with people who are for example old and need care, are ill or have to live with physical and/ or mental handicaps, or are unemployed or homeless. Learning under these conditions is especially authentic and sustainable. The trainers of the agency accompany the participants pedagogically and evaluate the programme.
The projects empower the personal development and the development of social skills – this is a basic need for the constructive cooperation within school and professional life.
mehrwert gGmbH was developed out of a pilot project which was initiated by the Protestant Welfare Organization „Diakonisches Werk“ and the Protest Church of Württemberg and is sponsored by their own foundation „Stifterverbund“ and the Robert-Bosch-Stiftung. Read more |

Gordon Institute of Business Science
At the Gordon Institute of Business Science we aspire to play a significant role in South Africa by ensuring that leaders in our business community have the opportunity to develop their skills and business acumen to meet the enormous opportunities and challenges that a dynamic and rapidly changing world presents. GIBS’ mission is to contribute to the competitiveness of individuals and organisations through management education, and this is only possible over any length of time on the foundation of a stronger, more equitable and more sustainable society. Management education does not make sense when offered in isolation from the society and environment in which managers have to operate. This mission inspires our values and our extensive academic programmes and activities in the business in society arena.
