Responding to the challenge of a year like no other, we are moving forward with a Forum in hybrid format. Its theme, leadership, is under the microscope as never before as the world struggles to cope with Covid and get itself back on track. It is the time for a laser-sharp focus on what is needed to get through it.
We invite you to have your say on the immediate priorities in the debate ahead of the conference through the regular Drucker Forum Blog ‚shape the debate‘ and a new instrument that we are announcing today: Provocations.
Meanwhile, exceptionally early bird registration for in-person participation at the Forum will remain open until 31 August, with options for online participation available from early September. For information on all these items please browse the letter, and we look forward to welcoming you to the debates – both online and at the Forum in Vienna, whether in person or virtually.

Be provoked!
#provocations are short triggers focusing on important topical themes: Has leadership failed us? Experts vs leaders – how far can we trust experts and data, how much do we need leaders to synthesize it all? The first provocation, The Expertise Conundrum, is online.
The Drucker Forum blog series has resumed with a first set of articles: Bill Fischer on Leadership in a Post-Covid World: Where Learning Beats Knowing, Stefan Stern on This is urgent. We must be patient, and David Hurst, A Fierce Old Story: Fighting a Plague with Common Decency. We welcome further submissions, subject to the editors’ discretion – see guidelines here.
