Dear Participants in the 2017 Essay Contest, Dear Participants in previous Contests, Dear Reader, The 2017 Essay Contest "Human Prosperity in a Changing World" has been a record- breaking year in terms of participation: 422 submissions from 79 countries! A big thanks to all who put their heart and soul into the topic allowing us to get a glimpse into their cultures and realities — an invaluable contribution to international understanding. However, participating in our contest also means being exposed to a tough three-stage jury process. If you did not make it into the Top 15 this year, we encourage you to submit again next or in a coming year! The topic for 2018 will be published in our November Newsletter.
